Should a Church Get Involved in Politics?

The answer is yes. Too many churches have avoided politics because of fear. They should trust in God. Churches must teach the people right from wrong. How can people avoid evil if it is called good.

Romans 12:21

Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.

1 Corinthians 15:33

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.”

Galaytions 519

“ The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God. “

The churches have watched politicians change laws and now evil is legal. For instance:

  • Prayer was removed from schools and public places.
  • Sex before marriage was common place and condoned.
  • Abortion was made legal.
  • Divorce was made easier and half the marriages end in divorce.
  • Homosexuality was legal and encouraged.
  • Same sex marriage was made legal.
  • Gender change was allowed, easier, and accepted.

Soon they will change the laws to allow sex with children. Churches must get involved to elect Godly candidates to that we can make America Godly again.

The real question is why have churches avoided politics. It is because of fear. Go to our blog and read this post, “Why have Churches avoided Politics?”
